A lifelong love of words.
Words have shaped my life for as long as I can remember.
As a child, I eagerly waited for the next delivery from the Sweet Pickles mail-order book club my mother subscribed to. Every month, two new books arrived — each one tied to a letter of the alphabet — and I devoured them. Those stories sparked a lifelong love of reading, and as I grew older, that love naturally evolved into a passion for writing.
What began as a childhood passion eventually became a career.
Today, I help businesses, organizations, and entrepreneurs find the words that connect and inspire action among the audiences they’re called to serve.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a business leader for organizations like American Mensa - the high IQ society, TTI, Inc. (a Berkshire Hathaway Company), and Vermeer - a regional construction equipment dealership. In each role, I’ve seen a similar truth emerge:
Businesses rarely struggle because they lack value. They struggle because they haven’t found the right words to communicate that value. When messaging is unclear, connections weaken and growth slows.
But when a business clearly articulates its value, everything changes. Customers understand what makes the business different. Employees can align around a common purpose. Leaders gain confidence. And brands become memorable.
I founded Authentic Impressions because I believe every business deserves messaging that reflects its true strengths and a brand voice that sounds human. My approach combines strategic communication, marketing expertise, and a genuine curiosity. I take what I learn and transform those insights into content that builds trust and drives meaningful results.
My commitment to the craft extends beyond experience. I hold a master of arts in communication (mass media & communication studies) from the University of Texas at Arlington. I’m also an accredited business communicator (ABC) awarded by the International Association of Business Communicators, a professional certified marketer bestowed by the American Marketing Association, and a certified digital marketing professional from the Digital Marketing Institute.
Those credentials matter. But what matters most is helping clients achieve outcomes like greater visibility, stronger credibility, deeper customer engagement, and the confidence of having messaging that feels like them.
Whether I’m developing a brand message, writing website content, creating thought leadership articles, or managing social media, the goal is always the same: To help people see the value they bring to the world and communicate it in a way that connects with others.
Clarity and connection begins with the right words. Let’s discover yours together!
